One of Europe’s leading early stage venture firms closes it fourth fund at £60 million, more then 30 times the first fund raised in 2007.  Seedcamp is looking to invest early in world-class founders attacking large, global markets and solving real problems using technology.  Typically they can lead a pre-seed round or invest alongside other investors in the seed round.

Seedcamp funds are structured as an LP fund and list many of the leading European venture funds as investors.  The is a very effective way of delivering early stage rounds to the benefit of both the founders and follow-on investors.   The round also includes £2 million of investment through a new partnership with equity crowdfunding platform, Seedrs, in which many founders of Seedcamp-backed startups participated.
